Join our Woodland Explorer Club with Park Rangers Scott & Ol

Have a passion for the outdoors and nature? Want to learn something new?

We have different activities each month throughout the year for only £8.00 per session.

Children will learn all sorts of new skills, take part in a range of activities, and meet new friends.

You can join us for just one session or all, it’s entirely up to you!

Children to be dropped off and picked up at the end of the session, they will be in the care of the Park Rangers.

Dress for weather, please bring a drink, sun cream, suitable clothing etc.

April 6th- SOLD OUT, Meet at VC – Bird Boxes - Woodland Explorers will look for woodland birds, then build your own bird box to either take home or put up in the Country Park.

May 4th - SOLD OUT, meet at VC – Survival Skills - explore the woods and gather the materials needed to build your own survival shelter and to light a fire safely. Learn lifelong skills, will you keep yourself dry and warm?

June 1st, meet at beach kiosk - Beach Safari – Woodland Explorers will explore the beautiful Cefn Sidan, we will look at what animals live out at sea and here on our own beach. Explorers will learn important beach safety and maybe create your own piece of art in the sand, don’t forget dress for the weather – sun cream, drinks etc

August 3rd, meet at train car park – Pond Dipping - Explore our ponds and discover an underwater world, dip your nets, and get a closer look and learn about the different animals that live in and around the pond.

September 7th, meet at VC -Foraging & Open Fire Cooking – Explorers will be on the lookout for wild foods. Learn what is safe to eat and what isn’t. Learn to cook over an open fire and try some tasty treats.

October 5thmeet at VC – Bug Hotel - give those creepy crawlies a cosy home, come along and make your own bug hotel to take home, make your garden wildlife friendly and show your friends and neighbours what they can do in their gardens.
