Commercial & Facilities Manager – Leading Award-Winning Destinations

We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Facilities Manager to oversee operations across Carmarthenshire’s Outdoor Recreation Service. This is a unique opportunity to manage multiple sites such as the iconic award-winning Pembrey Country Park and Caban in Pendine whilst driving forward innovation and excellence in food & beverage provision and accommodation, set within stunning landscapes of beaches, nature reserves, and countryside.

Your Role:

You will lead a diverse team delivering exceptional visitor experiences while driving commercial growth. Responsibilities include managing numerous Outdoor recreation venues, premium accommodation facilities, and developing innovative income streams through events and partnerships. You will ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and compliance with corporate objectives, while promoting our destinations to attract more local and residents and enhancing engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in multi-site food & beverage management, countryside management and accommodation / Tourism operations.

Strong leadership and financial commercial management skills.

Ability to innovate and deliver excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Kitchen Assistant (Maternity Cover 12mths)

If you are passionate about food and have a good work ethic, we would love to hear from you because our self-motivated and dedicated team requires a Kitchen Assistant to cover a 12 month maternity cover.  This is an annualised hours fixed term contract, this will mean that during peak times you will be required to work 37 hours per week but in quieter times the week will be 12 hours. The total hours for the year will be 1121, an average of 21.56 per week.

Working for us, you will have the opportunity to work in a busy and exciting environment.  You will be responsible for assisting our Cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals whilst ensuring compliance with all aspects of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety.  Other duties will include the setting up and clearing away of tables and general cleaning duties.

We need a motivated and dedicated person who has: -

  • The ability to build good relationships based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety. This would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Good communication and people skills
  • The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

You will need:

  • A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other catering duties.
